You may create an Agency relationship with any agent you wish, buy you will find it in your own best interest to select one agent with whom you have established trust, confidence and rapport. Interview your prospective agent. Ask them questions, establish in your mind if this person is listening to me and has my best interest a priority. There is nothing complicated about selecting an agent; you just need to feel good about them. Are they competent? Do they show a caring attitude? What is there past sales experience and record? Here are some local facts that you should be aware of regardless who you choose to represent you:

Agents are paid for their work by commissions paid by the seller. Residential agents have the same access to listing details, through the same residential Multiple Listing Service. Commercial agents have the same access through the commercial MLS. Agents work for clients who are not working with other agents.

Once you have selected your agent, enter into an agency relationship. Be true and loyal to your agent. You are asking them to commit their time and energy to your interests. Your agent deserves trust, confidence, honesty and loyalty in return.
